Well, it's over! We're home! More details to follow, when we have had showers and sleep and things.

Ellie and Alison: Two fat-bottomed girls are going to get on their bikes and ride!

...across the continent! This August Alison and Ellie are going to cycle from England to Italy, and yes, that includes the Alps!

We are well aware that this may be slightly crazy. It's certainly the most energetic thing Ellie has ever done! We are hoping to raise money for breast cancer research. Last summer Ali's mum, who of course is Ellie's grandma, died of breast cancer. We all miss her very much and we hope that our contribution to breast cancer research may prevent somebody else's mum and grandma from dying of this awful disease. About us: Alison is a teacher who lives in Italy. She enjoys scaring children, keeping bees and birdwatching.

Ellie works in a science centre and lives in Scotland. She enjoys scaring children, photography and dancing.

Oh, and I suppose we both like cycling!
